thanks fishtaxi any one else know of gravois or any one else that does painting does it need to be sandblasted

yes sandblasting would be your best bet. with the bed liner it doesnt have to be primed but if you sandblat it then it will last. any other questions just ask i can give u all the help i can.

beware , a friend of mine sandblasted his flat about 3 years ago and it is still laying on the horse right side up and doesn't hold water if you catch my drift , he has at least 200 holes in the boat -----if sandblasting is the way you are going to go then get someone experienced with sand blasting aluminum , soda blasting would probally be better as it is not as aggresive ------- you really don't need to take all the paint off , just roughen up the original paint that is still stuck and feather in the edges of spots that are bare , use zinc chromate primer only on the bare spots and not over the entire boat , then use a good quailty paint with additives like Zeon in it to prevent chipping ------------
