beware , a friend of mine sandblasted his flat about 3 years ago and it is still laying on the horse right side up and doesn't hold water if you catch my drift , he has at least 200 holes in the boat -----if sandblasting is the way you are going to go then get someone experienced with sand blasting aluminum , soda blasting would probally be better as it is not as aggresive ------- you really don't need to take all the paint off , just roughen up the original paint that is still stuck and feather in the edges of spots that are bare , use zinc chromate primer only on the bare spots and not over the entire boat , then use a good quailty paint with additives like Zeon in it to prevent chipping ------------
