Way to go James !!
1st Buck !!!!
My son, 7 year old James Alleman, took his first buck, a 6 pt, yesterday during the weekend youth hunt. 100 yard shot with a .243!! Dad caught a bad case of Buck Fever when the deer came out !!!
After searching for 1 hour and not finding any blood, hair, meat, etc. we almost gave up looking and chalked it up to a miss. But I saw the hind legs kick up when he shot, and having plenty confidence in James' shooting abilities, I decided to take one last ditch effort and make one more circle in the woods, and walked right up on the deer !! Went from buck fever to excitement and being proud, to depression, then back to excitement and being proud. I'll never forget that hunt, and I hope he never does too !!
