i would wait a day or two if u want to catch fish, but u never know, fish are smarter than people?? a weekend not catching fish or catching fish with your grandson is worth the time and the money just for the fun!!! i am sure he will enjoy the ride and the time with you, memories, if you are like me and my grandson???

Focus on riding around and scouting and less on fishing and you will have fun. Cold front=rotten fishing, unless you are very knowledgable. Might should try to pull some crabs off of some dams with a net and necks for distraction. Don't rush to be too early either. Take your time getting there.

thanks for the response, I don't know anything about fishing, so sounds like a poor day for fishing for a couple of rookies, but we will try and do a lot of scouting and getting used to the boat, i do have about 5 crab nets so we can do that as well, it is all about memories, thanks guys.

Catfish Lake..... even on windy condition you can catch fish there Find some cover from North Wind fish the Ponds&Canals&Points Shrimp under Cork 18 inch-24 inches deep, If you find a Place protected from wind you'll catch some fish. I will be down there NEXT WEEKEND!!!!

Poppingcork Wes and i r going to Catfish . I told one of my buddy ho is a GM police that we would bring him and 6 year old son, did't no the weather at the time we pland the trip. You can catch fish in the catfish lake area on windy days, but if its like they saying 20 to 30 thats out of the ordinary and there are not many trees in our area to hid behind. I will be out there in the morning cause i dont trust the weather men and also cause i like being on the water no matter what, but i dont expect big numbers maybe a dozen or so if we are lucky with that kind of wind. bait shrimp will definetly be the ticket for tomorow as you cant troll motor and will be reduced to having to hunker down in small cuts to get out the wind.
