Yes, I am certain it is the same deer. The 'drop tine' you see in the older picture is not really a true drop tine. It is actually the main beam that turned down. I have other pics of him that show this at a different angle. He has the same kicker too. Definitely the same deer though. He has been coming to my feeder/stand for four weeks now. I will be there on thursday to try to get him. Will post a picture if I get him.

Well, Thanksgiving was especially a good day for me. I finally tracked down the elusive 'droptine' buck. Here's the story (short version). I got on the stand at 2:30pm, fell asleep only to wake to see the buck standing near the treeline of the pipeline. I put my gun in the window to the right to dial him in and he was gone. I looked to the left pipeline and he walked out a minute later to meet my 7 mm short mag. He did not take another step. He has 11 countable points, split brow tines, 16 inch inside spread and 22 inch main beams. Field dressed at 185#. Persistence pays!
