It's a fairly easy place to fish. Just pick a stretch of bank and fish it. I've bever fished it this time of year but usually do well from March-May. Finesse worms, spinnerbaits and crankbaits. If you can find some pads, frogs will work as well. Try to stay away from those areas on an East wind. Lake water pushes in and shuts the fish down, at least for me it does.
From what I've seen the pressure doesn't bother catfish like it does bass or sac a lait but it still effects them. Fish have inner-ears that are real sensitive to pressure changes. WHen a big cold front comes through and the pressure shoots sky high their equilibrium (sp?) gets thrown out of whack and it takes a few days for them to adjust.
Wherever you go, the north wind will be pushing water out so fish should pull out to points or bury up in the thickest stuff they can find and probably won't go too far to chase down a meal. In other words, fish slow and methodically. You will more than likely have to force feed them. HIT EM ON THE HEAD!
This is not the weekend to fish freshwater. The barometer will be high as a giraffe's butt and the fish will have lock-jaw. You maybe, and that's a stretch, might have an hour or two Saturday morning before the front makes its way through and the barometer soars. This is the first big cold front of the year and the fish will be messed up til Tuesday or Wednesday.
