Trip of a Lifetime
We started off the day catching fish on nearly cast but we had to stick and move due to the amounts of small trout and white trout we where catching, we probably caught 150+ plus fish in the first 2 hours of fishing but only had about 25 nice keepers to show for all the catching we did.
We decided to go sight cast Redfish a while and wait on the tide to start falling and in no time we saw a nice Redfish and Lauren was hooked up, we didn't drift much further and she was hooked up again with another keeper Red and then again with a huge Sheepshead
When the tide starting falling we went back trout fishing and man did we hit the Motherload of trout, we iced up limits in no time but played catch and release for over a hour and left them on fire!!! We also caught several HUGE bull reds under the birds while trout fishing.
Aaron and Lauren had never experienced anything like the day we had today with Trout limits, Sight casting Redfish and Bull reds under the birds.
Double rigged Matrix and HLT did most of the damage but the Shiney Hiney held its own today. Thank goodness we had Swamp Swatter because the bugs where out in full force.

Good job Capt!! There's no way to improve on a day like that, what a trip! His boat may never leave the dock again without you on board!

Looks ya'll had a great time. Great redfish! I perked my ears up when you mentioned 'Swamp Swatter'. Is that a commercial bug spray or lotion? I have given all of the blood and skin I care to give to the bugs!!! Can I find that somewhere or is that something that isn't sold in stores. Hoping to find something soon. Fishing in Biloxi Marsh and really get irritated at the tenacity of the bugs! They're worse than the IRS trying to recover $20 worth of tax money!!!
Swamp Swatter is hands down the best product I have ever used for gnats and it comes in a few different varietys. it comes in Lotion , Spray and Spray with Sunscreen added. If you check out their web site it has a list of a bunch of retailers that carry it. www.swampswatter.com
