sidearm carry during rifle season
Was wondering if anyone had any information or knew whether its legal/allowed to carry a sidearm pistol during rifle season in the wmas any info would be a big help.

perfectly legal during modern firearm season. you can carry a 22 with rat shot while bow hunting during archery season. Outside of modern firearm season while not bowhunting you can carry a sidearm that meets the caliber restrictions for that particular season. During the special hog dog season on particular WMA's you are allowed to carry any sidearm of any caliber while dog hunting with permit. Its always best to call the Wildlife and Fisheries office in the area you hunt and ask their interpretation of the law first though, after all they are the ones that will be giving you the run around if they interpret the law differently than you.
