That's a nice BB you got there. We have a few too. We're having to hang all our feeders a minimum of 8' to keep them from being destroyed. Not sure if that feeder is really 6.5' though because assuming that, you have a world record contending black bear in that pic! Good Luck getting him out of the area. I guess free lunch does exist ha ha

Is anyone else getting bears on their cameras in Southeast LA? I think that Black Bears are doing great and it would bring alot of money along with different hunting opportunities if the LDWF did some studies on numbers and opened an experimental/lottery season. They are everywhere!

Wow that is a really huge bear. There has been talk of a black bear season for Louisiana and they are VERY active in management and numbers don't believe otherwise. A much better job has been done with bear management than deer management in this state.

That isn't so much as ment to be a knock on deer management as it is a thumbs up on the bear management plan that has been implemented.

I can remember when there were less that 100 bears in the state. Now a bear season is probably right around the corner. Only for certain parts initially I would assume.
