Teaching them young
I agree that they are never too young to take hunting. I learned at a young age and now hunt with my 9 year old son and 11 year old daughter. I used to be all about getting limits, but now I take more pride in watching my kids hunt. Your son really looks like he's enjoying himself. Gotta love it.
...it's obvious every one of 'ya guys are proud...it's just that kids are fast and quick and in a blink of an eye something could happen that you would live with and regret the rest of your life...a couple of years more could make a big difference...the exposure is great but you can't watch them 1000 %...when we ourselves can get distracted...cheers
It really just depends on where you hunt and what equipment you have. If you can drive up to your blind and stay out the water then yea you can bring em straight out the womb! haha (not really) but if you gotta 40 minute run down river in the dark then you gotta pirogue into the roseau, its better to wait till there a little older. Also having a boat blind helps with comfort and keeping them entertained as well. Either way great job man and Im all about it! Nice job to the young fella too, I bet he had a blast.
Way to go pops ! You may have created a monster there ! At least that's what my wife used to tell me when I would bring my son when he was young like that . I guarantee he will always be into that instead of any other mischievous things that kids can get into .
