That's a nice mess of good lookin fish. If you don't mind me askin, did y'all fish the island and rigs or along the edges of the bay and marshes ?

We fish the Bays and Marsh's. Very rarely will i hit the platform or well heads. I have so many spots to run around to, I don't take the time to wait on the fish to come around,I jump tell I fine them. If they aren't hitting with in 10-20 min. in a spot I jump to my next one and so on.

One more thing, find the deep water this time of year in the marsh, that will be where your specks will be holding up. YES,there are deep holes in the marsh, finding them is the fun of fishing Leeville and it will make you a better angler as you put in your time on the water, so get out the old depth finder and start looking and BURN SOME GAS. Thanks I really appreciate all the info. I went last weekend too and we did catch good but of our 60 trout only 5 were specks. Thanks to you now I know why.

yep the holes hold the big ones, my gator tail is how i find them then you can use the bay boat after you learn where the deep is.
