sounds like a bobcat, they are about the size of a medium sized dog but skinny.
you can come accross all sorts of things on that road
Pretty sure it was no bobcat. I have seen many of those throughout my lifetime. This cat appeared to be about 80 or so pounds. A bobcat is the first thing that come to mind, but this was much bigger than any one that I have ever seen.
This adds a new dimension, a big cat--- with spots.
Cougars do not have spots and other large spotted cats have a long tail like a cougar.
Did it have a long tail?
Sure it wasn't just a bloated bobcat?
almost 95% positive it was not a bloated Bobcat. I did not get a good look at the tail, but from what I could see of the legs and paws, it was bigger than any bobcat I have seen. Thats why I posted it here, in hopes some other fishermen on the way home sunday had also seen it. I would say, from the quick look that I got, it looked similar to a cougar, but I would not have dared put that on here...I was skeptical to put 'Big Cat', knowing what type of criticism I might would recieve, but the curiosity got the best of me in wanting to know what it was. Now I wish I wouldve turned around to get a better look.

I see a swollen up coon the other day on 190 that was the size of a hog and I could say I never seen a coon that big before and not be lying ------------back to cats , in the last week I have heard quite a few different stories from different people of BIG CAT sightings between Lacombe and Fountain Blue , mostly centering around Big Branch , my wife tells one of the stories and I could see it in her eyes that she did see something very unusal

Almost certainly a bobcat. Cougars do have spots or rosettes in their first year though.

you can make great and very warm skull caps or hats from them.
