Inshore Fishing in Cocodrie / DuLarge in South Central Louisiana
Bachelor Party
Weather doesn't get any better for a bachelor party. Groom to be Chad Landry and crew stayed at Camp Cocodrie (www.lafishingcamps.com) and were very impressed with the camp. This morning they woke up with trout on their brains. Capt. Chris and I took care of the trout today so tonight they can focus on more bachelor party activities. The morning started off with gnats everywhere. A little Swampswatter took care of them. There was pretty much no tide today which made it difficult to find keepers. Tons of birds working but not many keepers. We had to of caught close to 300 fish. Hit one flock in Sister Lake and the birds scattered right away. Didn't matter because the fish were there. Power Pole down and we dropped the hammer down on the fish using double rigs with Cocodrie Cocahoe and Matrix Shad. Coco Pepper and avocado were the ticket. Once the bite slowed we headed to Mechant. Hit a handful of fish then headed back to Sister to find fish every cast off a point. Had to use a cork in order to catch. On the way in we stopped in Mud Lake to find a dozen or so more on Endura shrimp or DOA under a cork was a must. Good luck Chad, I'll say a prayer for you!! Lol thanks Capt. Chris for taking good care of the second boat. I'll post the video ASAP.
