Looking for info
I have been looking to by a new rifle how is the Rimington 770 .243 and Rimington 770 30-06 are these guns any good or a waste of money if they are any good witch one would be better for 50-200 yards thanks

A gun in the same price range and IMO is better made would be the Marlin XS7 in .243, the XS is short action, the XL is long action. About the same price as the 770, and I think it's a better gun.

Remington 770
The Marlin, Savage Axis, Mossberg ATR, and Ruger American rifles are all a better choice than the Remington 770 rifle. Lots of problems with that particular rifle and the 710's before it.rnA Remington 700 is a better choice than the others except for perhaps the Ruger American rifle.

Rem 770 is a cheaply made gun IMO. I have several 700 and love them all, but after handling a 770, I think they are junk. Again, just my opinion
