grand isle
has anyone tried the beaches in front of grand isle along the rocks recently? wondering if there are any trout left out there this late in the year, particuarly big trout before i drive 3 hours down there this weekend haha.

I have not fished the rocks lately but we did fish the beach a couple of weeks ago and did OK for the short time we fished. We were fishing the beach across from Rome's bar. Live shrimp carolina rigged worked for us. Caught a few trout and a few reds in a couple of hours.

Grand Isle
We fished the rocks last Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Only on speck, but there are plenty reds and flounder out there. Almost everything was caught on shrimp on the bottom, either carolina rigged or on a jig head.

Grand Isle
Fished the rocks in rough seas for a couple of hours two weeks ago. Only caught 8 or 10 but all were 2 to 3 pounds. And most on live pogies carolina rigged.

I fished the rocks in the front last sunday (10-7-12) with live shrimp under a cork and only caught 1 sheepshead. I also fished them 2 weeks ago and only caught 1 red and 1 trout. The fish are not there
