Still could be a carb issues especially if you use ethanol gas. Carbs will likely have to be taken down and all jets cleaned. It doesn't take much fowling to make it run like you described. I had it happen twice on a Yammy 115 2 stroke-especially if you let it set up any length of time.
Once you get it right, do whatever you can to avoid using gas with ethanol in it. If you can't, then make sure you use a good fuel stabilizer designed to treat ethanol gas.
Good luck
i hade the same problem we put 17 hours in my motor to find out it was a 12 dollar part the fuel pump diaphram. Trust me on this and change it. I know eneryone says its your gas and it is cause that thing goes out and fs everything up. when u look at it it will look just fine but change it
If your fuel bulb is not allowing fuel to drain back into the tank or if you do not have a small hole in the fuel line then suspect internal carb problems.
Could be a bad fuel pump but I would start with running a very strong mixture of Seafoam mixed in with 1/2 gallon of gas.Pour the whole bottle in and let the motor run for about 10 minutes. Kill the engine and let this mixture sit in the engine for about 30-45 minutes. It will de-carb the cylinders in the motor and just may unclog whatever internal carb problems you are having.
If this does not work then a complete carb rebuild is in order.
BTW-Spraying carb cleaner into the carb throat does nothing for the carb.Just cleans the throttle plate and that's it.
