Not a fishing or hunting report, but a whitewater rafting report.
We made a rafting trip last week on the Nolichucky River. The day trip started in North Carolina and ended in Tennessee. We were with USA Raft in Erwin Tennesee and it's a great operation. Since it's about the end of the season, we were one of only two rafts on the river.
The USA Raft facilities are great and the have a big picnic area right on the river, a small stocked rainbow trout pond, volley ball, tether ball and more.
Our raft guide was Keith and he was great. On the van ride to the launch site, Keith asked 'who's afraid of falling out of the raft?' He then said don't worry, you won't fall out--you might be violently ejected though!!!
No one was ejected from the raft, but I came close on two occasions. We encountered several areas of class III and IV rapids. Being late in the year, it was a little cold, but they provide splash jackets and pants.
This was our first time whitewater rafting and it was a blast. I highly recommend USA Raft.
Attached is a short unedited Go Pro clip.
