I saw a large black bear crossing a plowed cane field on my way home from cypremore point today. I thought someone had lost a cow cause there was no fence around the field. Then I thought maybe a giant dog. But I just lumbered along like a bear walks. My copilot looked at me and asked if I saw what she saw. Sure thing. I have seen other black bears in the wild and this was a big one.
Oh yeah. Speckled trout are biting in the pass and at dry reef. It's gonna be good soon and they will be closer in if we can avoid rain muddying the bay.
