The person that makes these is a Stand-up Guy. We both frequent another forum and I can vouch for his products and service through there. I have even seen him deliver products before payment on occasions along with refunding and offering product replacement. If anyone has any questions or would like contact info just message me and he can also customize the product for your specific application.
I'm not an advertiser or paid hell I havent even bought anything from him just seen how he handles situations and heard many great reviews of his products...
Does he have any recommendations on a cajun anchor substitute? Can you just buy the aluminum/stainless steel rod from Home Depot or Lowes and make your own? What I mean is does it have to be a cajun anchor or will anything the same diameter work? That could make this product a REALLY affordable alternative. I'm all about doing it yourself. Recently made my own rig hook for $30 that is every bit as good as the ones you see sold for 70-80. Wouldn't mind another do it yourself project. Can someone give us a link or contact info?
I Have a Alum Cajun Rod Anchor 3/4' diameter I'm gona mount it w/some better bolts. I found the info on the Shallow Anchor Bracket of Craigslist under Boats, He even makes a fiberglass Pin was he calls i w/ brass core&point w/T Handle topbut its same thing as the Cajun Anchor just made out of Fiberglass,I'll let you all know how it works thinking of putting a plate on under side for more strenth, Nah Wes I'm goin Hunting this weekend try out new Mossberg Plinkster 22 cal. -I own a few of his products and have been impressed by their performance and durability...especially for the cheap price. I don't have any experience with his Cajun anchor bracket though.
Hey guys the website is www.skinnyanglersgear.com
The fiberglass anchor poles work great, I've had one for about a year now with no problems...lots of compliments from people about price vs power pole...
...remember the less holes drilled in a boat the better off you are down the road...how many times you drill a hole for a gadget and it breaks and you never replace it for the next buyer and the holes just depreciate the boat !!!...the old way was a Danford in the front and a mushroom in the back and a push-pole duckbill back-up that you can keep for the next boat...but it does look great for the 'hep-in-crowd'...cheers
most people are going with clamp-on mounts to eliminate drilling into their new hulls, especially all the carbonfiber /kevlar deisigns..

I always see this kind of thing advertised. Try it out and let us know. Until then I'm a little skeptical about if these things can hold a bay boat
