Bank Fishing the Island
Got down to the island around 2:30 today and found out what they wanted after about an hour. Good tide flow. Fished with live shrimp under a popping cork first only to fight with catfish then started throwing double rigged plastics which gave me my first couple of fish but was slow. Then i thought id try those colors 'Rucker Rigged' and wow did that make a difference. Just want to let John Rucker know that his rig will now always be in my box. Very smart.
Ended up with 25 specks, 9 white trout, 4 flounder and 1 red.

Rig
I heard about it on here and then went a searched 'Rucker Rig' on YouTube and found a video that showed me how to set it up.
And yes these were caught from the bank on La 1 between Fourchon and the Island.

thats the Ruckers Carolina Rig??? 1 oz bank sinker w/Swivel then 3-5 ft lead line w/ TKO Shrimp???

It worked well for me yesterday. I'll be using it more often. After about two years of fishing this place hard, I think I'm finally starting to figure the Island out. I'll hopefully be back down next Wednesday.
