did you guys limit out on the reds???

No limits on reds, we found the trout biting in the shallow water and decided to stay with them.

Total catch for the day was
40 trout, 8 reds, 12 drum and 1 flounder.
All fish caught on bait shrimp under a popping cork.

cool, wish it wasn't a four hour drive so i could fish that area more

It Great Place to Fish its bout 2 1/2 hrs from Baton Rouge if you take I10 to Nawlins the get off on 310 to Boutte then 90 west

problem is JLS people just arent willing to make a 5 hour round trip to go fishing, just too long a drive and too many miles on the equipt where things can break down.

you are an exception because most people want to fish within 1 1/2 hours away at the most or otherwise feel they must be spending the night to make it worth going that far

Great trip in less than ideal conditions. That's why its such a good place to fish. Less pressure. I've fished Catfish lake and the sulphur mines a couple times and always enjoyed the trips. It is a long run from the city.

True Keakar.......it cost me over $100 easy for one day trip thats me&the Wife goin, I sometime split it w/buddy bout $50 each + bait, So it just depends like Sam says It Great Place to Fish No Pressure on ummmmm

hey j thats not to bad tho cause we live in golden meadow and it cost $100 to fish when we use the kenner with the 250vmax, cause its a big gas drinker, but comfortable lol. If i go with the gator tail its a $30 trip lol.

That 2 1/2 hour trip can turn into a 4 hour trip with fog and traffic and you can add in the sugar cane trucks. Bason's is a great guy and the fishing is great. Most experts agree that most damage to boats are from traliers more than rough seas. Use to have a bass club called iron men that would fish TB and Venice on a week end just think of that expense now.

Yep that is Long Trip, But gota Pay to Play it might cost me lil $$$$$ but its worth it
