Recently I acquired a small aluminum hull with no papers. The hull does not even have an HIN (Hull Identification Number). They do have a metal tag on the hull with the weight capacity and manufacturer but after research I believe it was manufactured before the 1970's (Before Hull Identification Numbers were lawfully required on all hulls). I called LAWF and it seems to be a pain in the ass to obtain any kind of new title for the boat being that I would have to contact the original owner which is pretty impossible. Does anyone know of any kind of other way...loopholes...to get a new title for this boat and get it registered???? Trying to fix it up and get it ready for hunting. Thanks!
