Deer Hunting in Central Louisiana

Food Plot Mix

My parents recently bought some property in East Feliciana parish that has deer on it. I have been working to set it up to hunt and have a couple of stands with food plot areas cut and tilled. I know I am a little late, but I am wondering what is the best food plot mix for that area. The property is around Ethel.

oats

go on over the Ketnwood farm coop and get a few bags of oats. Plant about 1 pound per 20' x 20' this week, work in about 5 pounds 10-10-10 per 20' x 20' at planting.

Not too late at all! We are planting ms property this weekend. Planted west fel last weekend.

With fertilizer

Till or disc in amendments

Overseed we use plot spike and have been very happy with results for years.
