9-23-12 Golden Meadow Report
Started out the morning throwing plastics under a cork and mixing it up with tandem rigs and it didn't take long and the trout were coming in. The bite lasted for a little while then played out so we decided to chase some reds.
We found some biting in the ponds fishing them with bait shrimp under a cork and managed to put toghether a nice box of fish.
Can hardly wait until the cool fronts start coming down and cool off the water. This was my first trip since the storm and it looks like our marsh took another beating from Issac, but it looks to be a great fall fishing as the lakes and marsh are loaded with shrimp.

hey jls out of the mess we had 25 or so were keeper specks out of the 61 fish. my buddy ranger z kept fishing trout when we started fishing for reds at 10:00. Lol he calls me today and tells me man we had over a 100 fish, he didnt realize how fast it added,with lots of nice whites. said he was cleanin fish all day lol. i cant go this weekend but ranger z is going.
Cool........We goin i might need to get Z to meet me @Landing to make sure i get there&hopefully get Back lmao, I got new battery charged, Hook up battery it cahrged over nite so we'll see how it does gona go get it check this eve If not good then I'll buy another or take one out my Tracker for Now got Brand new one in it
I was wondering if ya'll could clue me in on what ya'll were catchin them trout on? live or plastic, and how ya'll had it rigged? Thanks!

Nice Mix Box there Capt Vern, We headed down to Golden Meadow Saturday to fish both sides of Catfish Lake, Bayoo Blue&Lake Billiot, Billiot has been hot for pass Month we went bout 3 week ago caught 127 total between Specs&White Trout, We caught over 200 w/throw backs, then my buddy went they caught 100 keepers&over 150 w/ thrw backs, then this Pass Saturday he went again to Lake Billiot they caught 61 Whites&Specs w/3 nice reds to finish out the Box
