John Rucker

I been speeking to people from grand isle almost every week including guides and they are telling me there are no specks to be found near the island, but they are doing well across the lake near the leevile side, just stating the facts. that being said you are catching fish when the locals cannot, then you truly are the. (TROUT whisperer). You are wasting your time where u work, you would be the best guide on the water with these kind of results. just sayin.
JLS, it seems you are doubting John's catch. Jealousy is an ugly creature. I have fished in the same spots where John fishes and caught fish too. Get off you butt and go fish instead of crying about what he catches. He is an exceptional angler and deserves respect. You are basically calling him a liar. Some people have the skill and some don't. Go practice.
Lake Billiot Specks
Nah gary I'm not doughting him nore am i jelous, Its just seem to easy, Everytime he catches its a AWESOME Catch It just seem too Easy Man, there people live there all there life can't do it So it just a Thought, Oh gary u must be kin to drew-b huh have nice Day Cheers!!!!!
When the fish are biting around the island everyone catches fish. It's when it's tough that the good bank anglers shine. Been fishing down there w/o a boat longer than some here have been alive.
John is an exceptional bank fisherman. But If someone want's to put in the hours that he has you can be good too.
Many times we have limited out on trout and reds off the bank and all the boat anglers caught just a few. There are a lot of things that can give you the advantage being bank bound. You just have to learn the tricks and times and the tides.
I have never fished w/John ,but do fish the same areas he does . If you know when and why to fish certain areas ,limits are not hard to come by.
Thanks for all the kind words guys! You are all the reason I post here and you can always contact me if you need anything.rnrnFor the guys who question the integrity of my fishing reports, please don't reply to my reports if you have nothing positive to contribute. If you spent more time on the water instead of browsing the internet then maybe you will see that there are PLENTY of trout in Grand Isle and maybe you too could catch them.rnrnHave a great weekend everyone!
Its more when than where when fishing down there,in my opinion.fished down there for years before I got a boat and now I sometimes wonder why I got one.a weekend warrior can get real lucky down there but most of the time not so lucky.in the dead of winter is when I do the best down there, usually when everybody else is home in a warm bed.definately got to go to know.if a spot looks good but doesn't pay off that doesn't mean there's no fish,it just means you're probably there at the wrongtime.rucker is a beast because he's paid his.dues, and when y ou got it you got it.
Nice trip. I would love to have your problem.
