I fished the west pearl Monday just south of the WMA and there were plenty teal buzzing the marsh. You should definitely get some action.

Managed to get 6 bwt this morning in the pearl, small flocks and singles, not a lot of birds, water was higher than Saturday

Was out there but not hunting, heard a few shots but not anything like you do during the regular season. Did not see many birds around the rigolets and goose pond either. Front should push some in. Water was really high all weekend and the Pearl is still dropping from Isaac. Birds were spread out. Plenty of people hunting, though. All the launches were packed.

Yea its high bc the wind still out the east but the wind is shifting tonite or tommorow out of N 13 mph in two days that water gonna drop bigtime..im goin thursday or friday i hope to pearl..

Once you launch go left out into the main canal.
Go to your first split and go right then look on your phones map or if you have a handheld gps and just look for ponds that have little split in the grass as an entrance. We killed 8 last sat. 2 people.

Launch at middle river, with the low amount of birds it's been tough finding a pond that is not overcrowded so my advice to you is go scouting and pick a few ponds as backup plans and go early, you're not supposed to be on the wma before 4am and off at 2pm so no afternoon hunts are allowed
