Thanx for the tips. I would like to learn the area. Is it a good idea to get a map to the area or is google maps suffinect enough? I know nothing about salt water fishing. I just throw a spinner bait to catch reds & bass. How's the wind in the area? My 18' flat bottom xpress don't like the wind.
I loved fishing the lake lery area. Only fished it a couple times but everytime I came home with all the fish I wanted after releasing the 3-4lb bass. I wish I could find a report on the bass fishing in the area but until I do I'm going to assume they all got killed from the storm surge. I fish the bayou pigeon area regularly and catch plenty bass & sac but on my most productive day I only brought home 8 keepers between 2 people. Thanks for yalls advice I'm definitely going to into those areas more. Work has me pretty himmed up for a little while so I'm hoping to wet my lines a couple more times before hunting season starts.
