Couldn't take it anymore so I made a quick trip to Lake P with my buddy Nathan. We headed out to our usual spot under the twin span but only caught 1 small drum. It was too rough to fish the tressels so we ducked into one of the canals and found some nice trout and some small reds along the bank. As dusk was approaching I put on a top dog and caught a few on it. As I rounded the point I hooked a nice redfish, only when I got it in the boat it was a fat, beautiful 24 inch trout. When it got dark we saw a dock light on so we ran over to it and the shrimp were jumping everywhere. We had a lot of action but only caught 4 or 5 until it was time to go. We brought home 8 decent size specks and threw back at least that many. It was a blast cant wait to go back.
