Talked to some people in the area. The launch is still closed due to clean up of chemical spill. It will NOT be open for opening day of teal. I launched at EBI and went to the Scarsdale launch. It has about 3 inches of mud on the rocks but still could be used. Just waiting on the clean up to finish so we can get back there. Good number of birds in the ponds.

Thanks for the info. I heard that the DC launch at Carnarvan was closed too. Gonna be a mess with plenty hunters trying to navigate from Delacroix; but if the DC launch at Scarsdale is doable it will get utilized, mud or no mud. What about Dudenheffer's backdown; is it doable; what about parking there? Thanks.

The bridge at the launch is destroyed you cant cross the canal.If you could launch you couldnt get out the canal it is full of debris and lillys

You can bypass the the chemical spill by crossing the belle chase ferry

So the road through Braitwaite is blocked from chemical spill? I don't hunt that side; my lease is on the Delacroix side. My friend has a lease over there and I am trying to find out the low down for him. I'll tell him he may need to scratch this weekend with having to cross the river on the ferry in order to get to DC launch and Belair is non-operable. He will have to run from Delacroix or not go. Has anyone heard of plans to repair the bridge?

there going to drop a already built bridge across the canal to connect it, i heard it will be soon but idk when. the canal has alot of debris in it but it is passible with mudboats went down in it this weekend
