I am driving five hours from north la this weekend and my wife is coming with me to fish. This will b enteresting for sure. But do have a 20ft center console with me.Where can i find some reds to keep her from saying i am bored every half hour.Go ahead and have fun i just could not stand it.I had to ask!I get to fish about three times a year and this will b my second time this year.So if i am lucky i might get in one more before the end of the year.
John and A.c. you guys are very good sportsman for sharing info. The only way i know how to get in bayou blue is from the canal from leeville that goes to little lake. Then i usally head to the north but not very far. There is some camps on the right as you go north. That is about far as i have been.I just started fishing down there last year when i bought my boat.I have not been there but about five times so i have ALOT to learn!Just dont know anyone to fish with so it makes it hard to venture out to far.But love it down there its better than deer hunting up here!
Just past those camps you are talking bout on right is a deep canal that goes into bay laurier..
Go across the bay on right side.. theres a canal there with pilings at the first bend.. It's 15' deep there.. Throw anchor on left side of bank and drift back to the pilings.. Reds, black drum and some specks all caught there.. Good luck
TG thanks for the info. I am going to try to learn some new spots in that area since my wife will b along with me.You know they like the boat ride as much or more than to fish. If i can find some reds that will make my trip alot better for her. Thanks guys for the good info. and not a single silly reply.I figued this one was asking for it.
Bayou Lafouche huh???? Where that Spot @??? lol
