They just need to be re-worked completely. I don't like the way they feel when they 'engage'. I also have read that they are actually not legal to have on a trailer. From what I've read they are supposed to be able to be activated without engaging the vehicle brakes which won't happen until you press the vehicle brakes and the trailer moves forward. Electric brakes can be manually engaged from the control box without ever hitting the vehicle brakes. I'm basically finding out what others are doing, what successes they are, or are not, having and get some ideas from others.
