Cast and Blast report!! First off, I would like to offer my prayers to everyone that has been affected by the recent hurricane. The coast really took it on the chin, but like the wonderful people we are, we are optimistic and rebuilding.
Luckily us at Cast and Blast faired out well, with all the boats, and my guides family and houses. I took a trip this morning with a good customer of mine, Larry Frey and Dave. With no live bait right now, and all the trout probably outside, we stuck to redfishing! Good Call! We bounced around the Little Lake area easily putting our limit of beautiful reds on ice using GULP shrimp, and probably threw back another 20 fish.
The water conditions were spotty, it was clean in the Garique, but dirty almost everywhere else. I was lucky, but didn't hit any obstructions, everything I ran through looked fine to run through. Just remember to keep an eye peeled!
Teal time! First off, this front coming through tonight will push thousands of birds down for us, just in time for next weekend. I have 2 out of 4 leases that are pretty thick with birds. I did see thousands upon thousands in the flooded fields in Braithwaite off the road, and highway 23. Once that water falls, they will push back into the marsh. It's going to be an outstanding year guys, so call now.
