huntr is correct. You cannot remove the deer if out of season. I believe you can remove it if it is in season and with a license to hunt. My cousin hit a deer a couple years ago and through it in his pickup and took it home with him. The wlf agents came to his home and arrested him. the whole mess cost him $1100.00.

I found one a couple weeks ago too, but left it there. Saw one mounted couple days ago in taxidermy shop and it was beautifull. But i'm sure its illegal under most instances, just like finding a dead hawk or owl, still illegal to possess. Call wlf, they may give u permission but i doubt it.
