I've got a question to throw out to all the knowledgeable boaters that lurk around on this site. I've got a center console with tandem axle trailer with surge brakes. My question is, do any of you run electric or electric over hydraulic braking systems on your boat trailers? This is saltwater only application. I'm to the point I have to do something with my setup and I hate the surge brakes. I've been reading about the electric options online and it's great for freshwater but not so good reports on saltwater applications.

Any thoughts, feedback or experience in the matter would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you had yours switched over - where did you get it done?
