Took a ride down to delacroix with delacro Joe this afternoon to check out the lodge. We feel blessed relative to the damage we sustained compared to lots of others. you have to be a property owner to get access and provide proof of ownership (wateer or electricity bill). No access to Shellbeach or Hopedale as Floristan(sp) still has water and debri covering it. sweetwater sustained substantial damage to its boat storage, deli and bait house. all of the crab docks are damaged. serignes was gutted (pic attached). Fred dietz's place had the bottom floor blown out. Several boats in the bayou nose up, several campers left behind are nothing but frames and propane tanks. Most slips experienced severe roof damage, dock boards lifted up, and siding gone.
