Gary, even a Subway popped me w/$7 for a $5 sandwich yesterday !!!...do believe the double flag politicians love it...(means more sales tax collected) !!!...another thing about 'evacuation' is a big percentage won't come back...some entitlement segments of society won't fix tires, bus tables,pick-up garbage cans and buy Cadillacs!!!...the lazy side needs'em all, the old 'da young and 'da tall !!!...cheers
I hear ya. Last 'big storm', Buds Broiler in Metairie was the only place serving food b/c their grills run off natural gas. Their burgers used to $5.00 and some change. 2 days post Katrina, the price went up to almost $10.00 and only take cash sales (no dibs for Uncle Sam). While the cats away...
I agree. One day someone will give him a knuckle sandwich on air as opposed to biting their tongue and gritting their teeth. I would pay to see that. I know he is only doing his job, but some of the stuff he exposes lands people in prison. Alot of folks don't take that lightly. He definitely has nuts the size of New York.
They are some good people. I have always had great experiences with them. I worked the French Quarter Fest as a volunteer one year and the guy from Rouses was managing the boiled crawfish booth. He brought over 30# of crawfish to us at no charge. He thanked us for volunteering and went on his way. I was working to beer booth and he did not even take 1 beer (I did offer too).
Lol yes indeed !! Lee already has an annoying looking face , with his fresh trimmed eye brows ! Makes me wanna give him a knuckle sandwich .
Admiral got a deal on a casino rm in marksville ! 50 bux a night .. Got 4 hounds and 4 kids up here . Not sure which ones eat more ! Probably hang out a lil while tomorrow and see what mr Isaac will do next .
No offense to anyone in general but for whatever reason people stayed in the lower parishes just baffles me . Sending national guard out in rescue boats risking their lives is just uncalled for . They should send the national guard in door to door before the storm and drag people out of their house instead of going in and trying to rescue in the middle of a hurricane . Whatever their reasons ... It's not worth it . The army corp of engineers can never and will never control mother nature . They may can slow her down but will never stop her .
...they made a major mistake asking people to stay...they know quite well many would not return to be over-taxed and gouged the second time...guess it's better to keep us stuck and broke...now they paying the bitter reverse !!!...the real answers are political luxuries that needs to be lowered...so we can 'ALL' get back on our feet !!! cheers
Watch em over there admiral ... Good thing for good neighbors ! My neighbor ran two looters out of my driveway with a pistol . I haven't gotten all the details yet because all we can do is text , but he did call the police and they were suppose to send a unit out . Two different looters about an hour apart . Dirty bastads huh ! Thank goodness for my neighbor ...
I heard that loud and clear! $3.50 a gallon on Wednesday of last week to $4.50-$5.00 a gallon on Monday. WTF??? Someone is on the take.
