You can have as many rounds in the clip as it will
hold and as big a clip as you want to carry. The ONLY ammo limits are for Shotguns . 3 rounds total and gun must be plugged so that it will not accept more than 3 rounds.

Thanks for the response E-Man. Did you find this in writing somewhere? I know TX DWF has it in their hunting regulations, but I could not find it in LA DWF regulations.

This question comes up every year before hunting season. I don't know where the answer i written but i have talked to a few agents and they have all given me the same answer.

I appreciate your answer, but I sure would like it in writing. I do not intend to use my 30 round clip while hunting deer, but there is the possibility of the hogs coming out and I like to be prepared. Maybe I will bring a 5 round clip and the 30 rounder too. Thanks, Gary

e-man is right. remington makes a 10 shot clip for their autos, try shooting 10 30-06 as fast as u can. Same for BAR's.
