Where is the best place to put in? L&N train bridge is the last train bridge before the Rigolets opens up into Lake Borgne right? I dont know where Docksides is either. Essentialy I am just dumb and dont know anything - lol.

last i heard about the LP was they are catching a few reds around the pilings but thats about it.

from experience i would say that should include drum and sheephead too but i havent heard of anyone still catching trout

If u go without live yea launch at rigolets marina but if u get live launch at dockside. Rigolets went up on there live shrimp and chas will take good care of u. And if there are any trout bein caught on the train trestles he will let u know. The bridge I was talking bout is at the mouth of lake borne. There are trout there just have to get thru the rest of the fish to get to them. Good luck!

Just because people don't post reports about it doesn't mean they're not there. Most of the people that I fish with catch fish all the time and don't post on websites. Don't rely so much on reports. Just go fish.


There are trout around there OP. Like Scott said, check out Dockside and talk to Chas. He'll point you in the right direction regardless of where they're biting. It won't be long until the trout pick back up heavily at the trestle, and to answer your question, no. The trestle and L&N are two different bridges. The trestle is the train bridge to the west of HWY 11 in the lake. L&N is the train bridge on the east side of the Rigolets where the pass dumps into Lake Borgne. The L&N is now run by CSX, but most people still call it L&N.

Dude really??? How bout quit reading reports and actually get out there and fish??? All u do is spend all day on here reading reports commenting on reports and showing the same old pics day in and day out. Post a report weither good or bad. Also trying to compare blue moon to someone else without even knowing them is kinda sad. I've slacked off a lot on posting on here cause of ppl like u. I love the site and help them out in any way I can. U also don't know if chas caught trout that day or not. Just because u didn't see any on the video doesn't mean they didn't catch any. So just please do everyone a favor and quit report hopping and go out to the rigolets and fish urself and post a report good or bad. Post pics from the trip not from trips 2 years back either! Drew B, generally I don't side with your posts, but I am pissing my pants right now with your response. I am with you guys on the repetitious responses and pics from JLS. I have suggested to him prior to now that he is monotonous and over bearing with the copy and paste posts from other anglers. Nice recovery on the surgery. Now get out there and fish and post reports rather than Posting that some old redfish pic. Ya know I enjoy helping ppl with there fishing trips. I get a lot of emails bout different areas so I give them the best advice on where to go and what to use. I've seemed to recall u asking me bout few of my trips and gave advice to u and never once did I see a good or bad report from u from the causeway or the train trestles. Also it looks like I'm not the only one seeing the same old pics.

jls, I'm sorry but you act like a child. Ruger asked if the trestle and L&N were the same thing, so I told him no and explained the difference. That part of my post wasn't even remotely directed at you, and any reasonably intelligent human being should be able to read it as such. Then, you start crying about people calling you out for nothing. You set yourself up for that one. Stop playing the victim here. You troll on facebook just like you troll on here. Every time Chas, Capt. Eric, or someone else that fishes the lake a lot posts a video or a report, your typical response is, 'yeah right nobody has that kinda luck.' I don't know about your luck (or lack thereof), but I can tell you one thing - you're sure not going to catch fish sitting behind a computer screen. So, instead of blaming people that work very hard to make a living in this business for your inability to catch fish, why don't you stop complaining and just go fishing?

For what it's worth - just like Scott said, you've emailed me before and I've given you more than enough information to go out and put some fish in the boat. I guess I didn't do enough because I didn't come out with you with some dynamite and load them in the boat for you.

When jls gets stressed, he hurts himself. He either has a heart attack or a stroke. It's a daily occurrence, so no big deal for him.

I think you guys missed his post from earlier. He said he was returning to work after Labor Day. That means he won't be glued to his computer posting other people's reports... It will be a glorious Labor Day for all. We have something to look forward to. Coca Cola on the other hand, maybe not so much.
