The best one out there was some broad was running a boat with 5 kids on it. Not only did she run completely over all of our lines (15 ft from my boat) but she then tied to the bridge overhead ON THE OPERATIONAL PART OF THE BRIDGE!! The bridge opened and they were freaking out because it started dragging their boat. Stupid is as Stupid does!!
...I told 'ya all long ago womens' brains are different than mens'...their biggest liability is their big mouth !!!...and Amelia is still look'n for that sandy beach and Margaritas ???...
...ever have one guide 'ya when back'n up a 28 ft R/V ???...crash,crash,bam,crash !!!...and '4 seconds later' they wave'n their hands and holl'n 'STOP STOP STOP '...(but they are loveable sweethearts at times)???...cheers
never realised it was illegal but i always knew it was stupid to tie up on the traffic side.
i have tied up on the back side before thinking since i was out of the traffic zone that it was ok to tie up in that spot. course im talking about a 14-15ft flat boat and not a big ole bay boat.
so i learned me sumptin today lol.
what about the little oil and gas platforms throughout the marsh and bays? are there any rules against tying up to those platforms or the moring posts around them?
keakar...if a barge or tug ever slams the other side 'ya'll feel like a fly under a fly swatter...remember a percentage of them likeable guys do drink...it's even happened w/subs under ferrys and a battleship ???...also if they ever lose power the downwind or downcurrent boats will always get 'squeeshed'...cheers
Funny thing is I think some were guides!! All you have to do is watch last weeks fish and game report!!!! When I saw the tug coming with those barges this morning I told my fishing partners 'that is why you don't tie up there, there could be problems' I'll pass on a few bull reds to keep myself and fishing partners safe. My boat my rules!!!!
True 1st time we went to L&N Bridge Ole bridge didn't look like was in Operation we tied on back side the passages way where we weren't in no passin Yug,barges,Boats way
