Inshore Fishing in Leeville / Golden Meadow in Southeast Louisiana
Leeville Report
Friday morning me and my son-in-law Walt went to the East side of Leeville since that is where I found cleaner water Tuesday & Wednesday. We fished the cuts and run outs off the East access canal using live Minnows from Terry's and artificial plastics. Colores used were White glow with chartreuce tail, LSU & Opening night. Friday we were able to stay out most the day only having to run back in to Boudreaux's once because of storms. We ended Friday catching 1-Red, 2-Specks & 73-White Trout.
Saturday I knew our time fishing was probably going to be cut short due to the weather forcast of more rain moving in. We left Boudreaux's just before daylight. First cast made on a live minnow hooked a Speck in the 4 - 5 pound range which ended up throwing the hook right at the boat. The rain showed up around 07:00 but since there was no lightening we stuck it out till about 12:00 when it really began to get bad and had to come in. We finished Wednesday out with 3 Specks, 2 Reds & 96 White trout.
Others showed back up at the fish cleaning station with nice catches of Reds.
Good luck and safe fishing.
