under the cover/cup under the stearing wheel are the 3 or 4 mounting screws that hold the hub in place. these can be hard to remove if it has rusted or the housing has corroded and fused the screw threads in place. in the past i have had to drill out or dremel the screw heads with a cutting wheel and popped the heads off.
not to mention the stearing wheel can be too tight to remove and require a wheel puller to get off so while your waiting on the parts you can get to work removing everything so your ready to reinstall the new stuff.
You bought an old, cheap boat that you can't put in the water, then buy the cheapest parts you can find to fix the first of what'll probably be many problems, then you bash the Admiral for giving you sound advice?
Hope you saved that hundred bucks you took off that guy. You're gonna need it to pay someone to haul you in when it leaves you stranded.
