Hit the water early that morning with Josh, Ralph & Suzanne Belleau along with Skyla Roberie in hopes of catching a few reds. With rain all around us we knew we didn't have long so we started trolling the ponds.
The bite was getting hot but the rain had us seeking shelter around 9:00am. Went to the camp and had some lunch and waited for the rain to stop.
Around 3:00pm we hit the water again and found bigger reds biting that evening.
Skyla got to catch her first ever redfish that morning and that afternoon Carter got to catch his first ever redfish.

Nice Capt Vern what area you fished? Might be down there this weekend I normally fish Catfish Lake Area Marsh, Ponds,Canals&Bayou Blue

We were fishing the south ponds below Catfish Lake using popping corks.
Live cocahoes done better in the morning and bait shrimp in the evening.
