Vapor Lock
I have a 2004 90 two stroke Yamaha. 18 gal. built in tank. My problem is at full throttle after about 10 minutes of running, the motor will die.....The fuel line 'primer bulb' will be vapor locked. I will have to disconnect the suction side of the bulb to release air. BUT i can run at around 4200 rpm with no problem. Only at full throttle i have this problem.....Any suggestions?
Note: I have replaced all the fuel lines, filter, fuel pump & new bulb but no change. I even checked the pick up tube, but looks ok?

The Primer Bulb!
Change the primer bulb. Those things faill all the time in different ways. Spend a few bucks and get a good one, not the hard rubber walmart special.

if the bulb is sucked in then its ok from the bulb to the engine and the blockage is before it gets to the bulb.
next time it happens go to the tank and take the cap off, if it has suction or the bulbs refills then replace the cap because the vent in it is blocked.
its likely just a restricted vent and not completely blocked and thats why at slower speeds it can suck enough air to keep the engine supplied with gas but at full speed its not able to keep up.

fuel line
I have seen that some people try to add teflon tape or electrical tape around their fuel line. Eventually the teflon will melt and clog the filter in the fuel tank. Just an idea for you.

It has the Perko fill (With 2 hoses) in the bow to the tank. 'Suppose to be a vented cap'?
