You can try a popping bug for bream . White , black , or yellow . Just see which ones they like the best . We used to do really good just before dark when the boat traffic dies down . Fish the outside the lillys in the deeper water . Just start anywhere below the bridge and work your way down river . If you can go in the calm after an evening rain you should do very well .
times this year looking for new spots to fish sacs and bluegills. Most guys that fish that area told me that the recovery there has been slow. I've caught a few sacs and bluegill the last few months. Since it's so hot you need to fish near laydowns, weedbeds near the bank and any structure. Crickets under a cylinder cork and split shot with a size 10 arberdeen/cricket hook should be a few bluegill in the boat for the kids. Red worms using the same rig around stumps will produce a few goggle eyes.
Guess there aren't too many people fishing out here anymore...
How bout catfish? Any reports on them for the area?
