Freshwater bank fishing
Could anyone tell me some good freshwater bank fishing spots for bass and sac a lait in southern Louisiana? I live in the new orleans area. I would like it to be under a 45 minute drive. If you can, please tell me what lures to use. Thanks. (besides City Park) Just looking for something different that would hold some good fish. I also heard that the ponds by lake salvador had some nice bass and sac a lait, could anyone tell me about that.

Yep Lsu Lakes, City Park in Nawlins, there Brec lake over off Sherwood Forest Blvd too after you cross Chotaw after the tracks on the Right even got some Rainbow Trout in it

Do you like Thin Fried Cat fish
Just take the old road to Manchac and fish all the run outs. If you can get a falling tide you will have a good time. Get a net and dip for grass shrimp best bait for all kinds of freshwater fish.

Try any of the cutouts on Hwy 51
between LaPlace, Ruddock, Manchac parallel/under Interstate 55. As someone stated use grass shrimp if you can get them but crickets/redworms will do also. Good luck.

Don't know where your located, but New Orleans city park or the LSU lakes in baton rouge are some good spots.
