The 24' sides made crossing the bays nice when the weather turned bad. The flat bottom was nice for getting through the duck ponds on falling tides. BIG reds and even BIGGER drum were holed up in the duck ponds working oyster beds. They were pretty tight lipped at times. But, easy to spot against the edges and tailing in the middle of the ponds. When they weren't tight lipped, they were hitting spinner baits. When they were tight lipped, a live cocahoe minnow usually pried their jaws open. Hardest thing about this trip was getting fish in the boat under 27'! The second hardest thing was keeping the fish from breaking me off on the oyster beds!

Not Bad!!!!! i got All Weld 09 Alum Tracker Bass Boat 18 ft, w/ lil 50 hp on when it should have 75 on it but that year Merc stopped the 75&went from 50-90 Now they make 60&75 go figure lol I like it but limited room, I want center console thats what i should have gotten if i knew then what i know now got one mo year left on it so we'll see I'd like one like that just higher sides like 30' 18 ft w/ 72' bottum i can do w/o camo nice Beige or Olive green be cool
Nice boat. After a work day on my lease this Saturday I am convinced that you made the right choice in motors. I saw just why reverse is so important. Not the outboard type either. FPR works.
I took it out today to Arkabutla Lake...or what's left of it. Lake level extremely low right now. I got up into a tributary and realized it was getting shallower so thought I would try and turn around. Flat bottom wouldn't bite and was just sliding sideways. Finally had to take it off step. It settled into the packed mud pretty hard. I used the FPR to 'trench' my way backwards. Then put it in forward and had just enough room to get up the speed to break it over on plane and get out of it. No outboard would have done what I did today.
Cool stuff here! If you don't mind, what area where you in near G.I. No specifics, just area would be real helpful. Thanks for the report and any light you can shine would be appreciated.

LOL...I used to use a Mercury 150 as a mud motor on a pretty frequent basis. It powered me out of some shallow water situations many times! You just have to remember to pull the thermostats and clean all trash out of them...and know how to change out your impeller!
Seriously, the Prodrive takes that to an all new level...minus the speed.
