Inshore Fishing in Cocodrie / DuLarge in South Central Louisiana
Good Times in DU
I had Andrew Robichaux and his crew on board this morning. We left real early knowing the full moon was going to give us plenty of light. As we left the launch it started to sprinkle but as we rolled down the bayou it quickly stopped. Driving further south we saw lightening where we came from but clear skies to where we were going. Hit up the Tracy Macie for some live shrimp. With the sun just coming up we hit the first stop and it didn't take long for the fish to jump all over our carolina rigged shrimp. I think leaving early was key because an armada of boats showed up around 7:30 which makes me think that they got stuck at the launch due to storms. As the other boats showed up our bite slowed down immediately. We hung around for a little while and had one more really good run. Once the run slowed we took off and hit couple spots. With only about 20 shrimp left and the clouds darkening all around we headed north a little after 10. Hit one bank for red fish but the wind really picked up and we decided to head to the launch and consider ourselves lucky that we didn't get wet.
