Its been a long time , but we used to do real good on pink mirror lures , and the big Zara spooks mainly on the beach near Caminada pass . The Zara spook was colored like a natural mullet , gray back . My brother caught a 29 inch trout there . Hope this helps ...

Don't know about G/I but i use a blue back with chrome bottom she dog at leeville/fourchon area.

...Choup hit it right,stay as natural as you can w/grey,silver or dark green w/white undersides...Mirror makes all of'em in floaters...we use to take off the back treble so you don't have to waste time w/the throwbacks...think they work best w/braided and just a snap...(leave off the leader and swivels)...but the next trip cut about 12 in. off and re-tie...cheer

I'd fish with a bottom rig and a big bait. If I'd fish topwater I like chrome. For jigs my favorite right now is an H&H bull minnow in the color 'glow' with a red tail. Puglias got em.

You need to get you a couple of Mirrolure Mirrodines. Pink back with the Chartreuse belly. It's an awesome summer time beach bait and will entice more strikes than soft plastics.

It's always one of the first things I throw during the summer at Grand Isle and Fourchon.

I fish ther a lot ,l live in G. M. had 72 last week SAT. specks & white Trout. You can fill a boat with white trouts. fish the Fourchon barge rock for white trouts. we used Elt. chicken.Best top water bait red & white top dog jr. or catch 2000 white and green. Good Luck.

I've never Fished Elmers never even been to beach there b4, I've fished Fourchon once last year w/my brother we fished not far from Landing off one the Points caught alot white Trout on Squid on tight line few Drum Croakers too couple reds No specs
