Yea all we have is a 23hp longtail on a 1648 ft semi v aluminum boat. It isnt a speed animal but it does about 20 mph. Ive hunted everyhwere even all the way by lake eugine well above goose flat which is 21 mile run it just takes a while. The ducks are concentrated in biloxi you have to find them...dont let 100 ducks get you excited you need to jump 500 out of a spot before the season and you should be able to hunt that spot almost alll season.
i have been hunting biloxi, pearl, and big branch for 3 years with my 14 flat with a 9.9 i run about 1 hour and 15 mins in hopedale to get to my holes but it is worth it, when i dont have the time you can kill a limit of ducks in the pearl if you are will to wait till 830 when all the sky busters pack up and go home but you have to be will to wait and work. Big branch does alright on a very quick hunt early in the season but after that you will need a pigroue! good luck hunting! and you can kill ducks in biloxi marsh in the first cut and go back in there its not as long of a run! you will kill several ducks but usually not a limit. i have only limited out one time in the first cut. I try to hunt there about 20 times a year and i live 10 mins from big branch
Have hunted both for a fue years. If you can hunt on weekdays go to Big Branch when its open during the week less people out there and on good weather days wasting time otherwise. Biloxi is much better though it is a longer boat ride. But you dont have to go out till after first light most on the best hunts i have out there a drive around till i see ducks in a pond go in and set up they always come back.
Biloxi M - no doubt.
I started hunting there back in 2000 with a 16hp Go Devil and couldn't go much faster than you - it took a long time, but we just hunted long to make it worth it. Bring the fishing pole too!
