I had Jason Hunt and crew from the Livingston Parish Sheriff office today. We were headed out to Timbalier Island and spotted some birds diving in lake Barre.... and never had to go anywhere else!!I was thinking small trout and gaftops...but we may have thrown back 20 trout all morning, and not one catfish caught today.125 trout, all on Double rigged bayou chub minnows, chicken on a chain and glow/chartreuse. 21/25 count shrimp jumping out of the water and hungry trout and seagulls getting them from both directions. The main deal today was my Power Pole anchor..Put it down and just catch fish!! No need to make the long run just stay in Lake Barre and enjoy a good bite. If you can not get on them call me and I will show you where they are..
