There's a gravel road over the levee about a mile down from the old fenced in launch that people launch from or you can launch at lake hermitage and fish the the marsh there.

That gravel road over the levee with the old launch has a gate across the road midway up the levee and is locked. The Point La Hache (jefferson lake canal) launch has been fenced in and closed for some time now. The Magnolia launch just closed recently.

So if all the launches are closed my best bet is to go to bayou hermitage correct I fished there once by the pump station is there any other spots there where reds are thick and paddle friendly taking a trip there next sat aug 3rd

Well if it's closed how about behind the hospital in port sulphur or the pen in lafitte. Not many specs but reds and drums area possibility. Not sure if the reds are plentiful but was able to land 3 reds yesterday in magnolia launching from lake hermitage.
